Board Exam Study Plan for Class 10

The CBSE Class 10 board exams are a major milestone. A structured plan from the start of the academic session helps you cover the full syllabus without last-minute panic.

Months 1–2 (April–May): Complete first reading of all subjects. Make short notes.

Months 3–4 (June–July): First revision. Solve NCERT exercises and exemplar problems.

Month 5 (August–September): Sample papers weekly. Focus on weak chapters.

Month 6 (October–November): Full syllabus revision. Previous year papers daily.

Final Month (December–January): Light revision, formula sheets, rest well before exams.

Mathematics: Daily problem practice — no shortcuts.
Science: Diagrams + numericals + definitions.
English: Essay formats, grammar rules, literature summaries.
Social Science: Timelines, maps, and key terms.
Hindi: Grammar (व्याकरण) and essay writing practice.

6:00–7:00 AM — Maths practice
7:00–8:00 AM — Science revision
4:00–5:00 PM — English + Hindi
5:00–6:00 PM — Social Science (maps + timelines)
6:00–7:00 PM — Sample paper / PYQ
7:00–7:30 PM — Review mistakes

Take Sunday half-day off for rest.

• No new reference books — stick to NCERT
• One full sample paper daily under timed conditions
• Formula sheets for Maths and Science on your wall
• Sleep 7–8 hours — memory consolidation needs rest
• Avoid social media during study blocks

• Write point-wise answers in Social Science
• Show all steps in Maths — partial marks matter
• Label every diagram in Science
• Stick to prescribed word limits in English/Hindi
