Class 1 Study Guide

How Class 1 students can practise homework, avoid common mistakes, and use AI tools as a tutor—not as a copy-paste answer key.

How to study in Class 1

Class 1 is about building reading, counting, and classroom habits. Short, repeated practice works better than long homework sessions. This page is a study guide, not a replacement for your school textbook.

A practical weekly method

  • Read the same short story or textbook page twice: once with a parent, once independently.
  • Practise numbers 1–50 with objects at home (spoons, pencils, coins).
  • Keep writing sessions to 10–15 minutes so letters stay neat.
  • Ask one “why” question after each homework item so the child explains the idea out loud.

Where students usually get stuck

  • Mixing up similar letters (b/d, p/q) and numbers (6/9).
  • Skipping number names when counting objects.
  • Copying answers without reading the question.

Using AI tools at this class level

  • Use Ask Anything for a simple explanation of a picture or word.
  • Use Quiz Generator for 5 oral questions, not long worksheets.
  • Use School Projects only for safe, no-tool crafts such as leaf collection.

An adult should sit with Class 1 students. Use AI to explain, then let the child say or write the answer in their own words.

What to practise first

These are the areas Class 1 students usually need extra time on. Use them as a weekly checklist, then open the matching subject study guide.
